On the Drive home from Symposium we happened to stop at the Darlingtonia Preserve off Hwy 101 on the Oregon coast just north of Florence. This small park is on a peat bog & has an amazing concentration of Darlingtonia, a carnivorous California pitcher plant better known as Cobra Lily. It’s lime green color was so vivid & fresh – a real visual oasis! A couple more stops at the dunes and beaches was a nice way to decompress after the jam-packed week in San Francisco!
